Planche

Definition

The planche is an advanced calisthenics static hold where the body is held parallel to the ground, supported only by the hands, with arms straight. Considered one of the most difficult calisthenics skills.

Why it matters

The planche develops extraordinary wrist, shoulder, and full-body tension strength. It is the pinnacle of pushing strength in calisthenics and requires years of dedicated training.
